I love the backstory of this wonderful little kueh: Shaped like a peach, it represents the peaches of immortality that we would know from the Monkey King, who hopped the wall into the gods’ orchard and swiped them clean. Cheeky monkey. That’s how I remember the story, at least.
This piece was a test to do a full bleed edge-to-edge print and it worked. It’s really big. A lot of carving, it was.
