Zhong Ping Kopitiam; Tanjong Katong Road, Singapore
I used to go to this kopitiam for years, my Saturday morning place, but hadn’t been for months. One Saturday in Oct 2021 i was around the corner and decided to stop in. The boss came over an d asked if I was still making prints (yes) and asked if I would do one for them because they’d lost their lease after 13 years and were out the following Monday (also yes). I later gave him a print, because of course.
I had to capture him, and his tattoo, and all that stainless steel, and the sock. Absolutely the sock. Can’t do a kopitiam piece without the sock.
